The Museum of Modern Art - one of the youngest to date museum structures in Belarus. It was created by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of June 13, 1997. Opening of the exhibition halls on 18 May of that year, and the first exhibition, entitled "New Collection" has begun an active exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art. The museum's collection now - it's four and a half thousand items, the total area of 260 m2 of exhibition halls.
In general, the creation of a new type of museum, as the exhibition and information center, where a new quest in modern art is not only reflected but also the understanding of art criticism is an important step in expanding and developing the cultural area of the country.
